Bonfire Recruitment are recruiting a Project Engineer working within manufacturing process engineering to lead local process improvement projects for its FMCG manufacturing client in central Scotland, UK.

Reporting into the plant manager as part of the organisations UK Group Engineering team the purpose of this role is to lead and implement improvement projects across the Scottish arm of this desirable manufacturing business, this role will allow the autonomy to project manage key projects for the manufacturing organisation.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying key process improvement projects for local site, preparing engineering proposals leading and managing the preparation agreeing project definition & project scope and plan.
  • Be the leader of process improvement projects from inception through all stages to completion.
  • Support engineering process team with PSM, investigations and auditing,
  • Provide expertise on opportunity for implementing positive process design changes.
  • Working with engineering alliance partner, generate as-built designs for all projects.

To be successful in this role the preferred candidate is expected to:

  • Be a degree qualified chemical engineer (or similar with continual process experience)
  • Have a minimum of 4 years demonstrable UK working experience in a process manufacturing environment
  • Have a passion for continual improvement
  • Strong engaging communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with influencing skills
